Merrifields were approached by existing clients to review the feasibility of the purchase of an uncompleted office development adjacent to their landlord holding converted for a former agricultural dairy, reconstruction had stopped some years previously following a catastrophic fire.
We appraised the development and Valuation advice on a purchase based on speculatively completing the development for onward letting as offices. We gave advice on the appointment of a construction team and professional advisors including Building Control and engineers and worked up an appropriate specification of the works and finishes with the client and contractors.
On completion of the works all 9 units were let on standard lease terms and we now undertake a property management role.
